Derek J. Kenmuir
People often ask me how I became a writer. I had no idea when I was growing up, first in Vancouver, British Columbia then in Edmonton, Alberta, and then back in Vancouver that I would spend most of my life creating stories. I had lots of jobs growing up, a grill master at McDonalds, Paperboy, Security, Docksmen and Sales Agent. So many experiences in life have inspired me to create the work I do.
I have created characters Dame & Dash which feature in my earlier work, the Two Brothers series and Eddie The Teddy which appears in Don't Let The Teddy Bear Fly the Plane and my latest project Bake With Me series.
I have also been inspired by the master of horror Stephen King lately and I have created a few horror/thriller and suspenseful short stories.
But the best part of being a writer has been listening to the stories of all the people that have read my books and enjoyed the characters.
